Wayve, a company that develops artificial intelligence software is making it easier for self-driving cars to navigate through the crowded streets of London
Wayve, a team that develops artificial intelligence software for self-driving cars has just released a video of a self-driving car, navigating through traffic to get from one point to another. The company has built a system that can drive like a human, using only cameras and a sat-nav (satellite navigation). This company has been able to achieve this feat using only artificial intelligence and satellite navigation.
Check out the video here to see exactly how a self-driving car navigates through the streets of London.
Wayve was been founded by a team from the Cambridge University Engineering Department and has its headquarters in Cambridge. The team has been testing this particular technology on the public roads of the UK since 2018.
Generally, self-driving cars require HD-Maps, and expensive sensors that constantly measure the movements of the car and objects surrounding it. This has been made possible with end-to-end machine learning.
We’re moving so much closer to the future that we don’t really know what is just around the corner and this self-driving car is just the first step towards incredible potential.
