When Sushma's repartee to a troll set tweeple applauding her
Two former Delhi Chief Ministers and ace Indian women leaders, passed away within 17 days of each other.
Known to everyone for her tongue-in-cheek and hilarious responses, former External Affairs Minister and senior BJP leader Sushma Swaraj was at it once more days before her demise. And this time she trolled a man who said she will be remembered like Sheila Dikshit.
Swaraj impressed her numerous followers by giving a befitting response to a Twitter user who wished her kind remembrance after Dikshit’s death.
Sushma Swaraj and Sheila Dikshit, the only two women Chief Ministers of Delhi and ace political personalities, were separated in death by just seventeen days. Swaraj breathed her last in AIIMS Delhi on Tuesday night while Dikshit passed away on 20th of July this year.
Swaraj replied to a troll who said," You will also be deeply remembered one day like Sheila Dikshit ji, Amma (Mother)." In response, Sushma 'thanked' the troll in anticipation for the "kind thought."
"Is bhawana ke liye apko mera agrim dhanyawad. I thank you in anticipation for this kind thought," the senior BJP leader tweeted. Twitterati burst into appreciation of the veteran leader for her epic response.
One user wrote, "Madam, you are the best with words - comebacks included! SALUTE!", while another user commented, "Ma'am you rock and I pray that you continue to rock."
Both Sushma Swaraj and Sheila Dikshit were good friends despite their ideological and political differences and have worked together unitedly on several issues including their efforts to pass the Women’s Reservation Bill in Parliament. While Dikshit will be known for her unflinching 15 year rule as Chief Minister of Delhi, Swaraj, who though was in Delhi CM's chair for only few months, will be known as a firebrand union minister who stood apart as a foreign minister of the country in many counts.
