The new streaming service will make console-based games more accessible on multiple platforms.
Microsoft is a step closer to launching its video game streaming project called 'Project xCloud'. The Xbox game streaming service gives more choices to gamers in terms of how and where to play. The new streaming services, when launche, will bring CPU-heavy games to the PC and mobile devices. This will provide more freedom to users to play games on various platforms.
Microsoft has released a new picture that shows one of the console-based games, Forza, running on an Android device.
Forza is a racing video game series for Xbox consoles. Once launched the stream service might allow players or Xbox users to play various game titles on smartphone and tablets with the help of Bluetooth Xbox controllers or via touch. But Project xCloud, according to Microsoft, will not be a replacement for game consoles. Instead, it will provide more ways to play the Xbox games.
Microsoft for the first time demonstrated the streaming service in October 2018. Google has launched a game-streaming service "Project Stream", which has now been ‘temporarily’ closed.
