The Lok Sabha elections are now truly under way with two rounds of voting already taking place on April 11 and 18. The voting patterns offer some clues about which way the result will go.
The election season is now in full flow. Two of a total of seven rounds of voting have already taken place. Phase one of polling saw 91 seats going for polls on April 11, while 95 seats were covered in phase two. Five more phases remain. The last phase will take place on May 19 while results will be declared on May 23. While it is too early to make predictions, certain trends can be discerned from voting patterns.
