T-series finally beats PewDiePie and is now the world’s biggest YouTube channel
With T-Series moving ahead by attracting more subscribers, PewDiePie has his work cut out for him.
Well, the battle for Youtube has just taken another interesting turn as Indian channel, T-Series just surpassed PewDiePie to become the world’s biggest Youtube channel. It was a real battle between the two as a ton of PewDiePie fans hacked about 50,000 printers to spread the word. The contest was so heated that another 16-year-old bought a million dollar advertisement in Times Square to urge users to subscribe to PewDiePie.
To give you a bit of insight into this entire situation, PewDiePie is a Swedish Vlogger. His real name is Felix Arvid Ulf Kjellberg and he is 29 years-old. PewDiePie streams games and also dabbles in a bit of commentary. T-series, on the other hand, are an entertainment company based in Noida, India and produces music videos (Bollywood) and is a powerhouse in the Indian music industry. The battle started when PewDiePie’s dominance in the Youtube sphere was challenged by T-Series. After the expansion of internet services provided by Jio in India, T-Series slowly climbed to the second spot and that is when the war took a surprising turn.
PewDiePie has criticised/mocked T-series in his video (called Bitch Lasagna) and really taken the fight to them.
A few months ago, Chairman and Managing Director of T-series, Bhushan Kumar made a video requesting all viewers to subscribe to the T-series YouTube channel to dethrone the above mentioned PewDiePie. Many popular YouTube channels (MrBeast, Markiplier, Jacksepticeye and Logan Paul) have supported PewDiePie in order to keep him the number one YouTube channel in the world.
We’re on the brink of becoming the world’s biggest @YouTube channel. We can make history. We can make India win. Subscribe to @TSeries #BharatWinsYouTube https://t.co/izEu8dzHdf pic.twitter.com/dJumzHwADa— Bhushan Kumar (@itsBhushanKumar) March 6, 2019
There is a YouTube cahnnel that shows the current subscribers of both these channels that can be viewed by the public.
This might be a new way to gain subscribers too! The battle between these YouTube channels is basically a ‘David vs. Goliath’ battle with PewDiePie playing the part of David and T-Series, Goliath. You can pledge your support for either channel through the links we’ve included above.
