Shaheen Parvez says people living in India should respect all religions, and she finds nothing wrong in reciting Hanuman songs
Attacks on Muslims and backward people in the northern states are continuing. Violence is spreading in the name of religion and opposition to suspected cow smuggling.
In this scenario, it is startling to find someone like Shaheen Parvez, a 42-year-old Muslim woman from Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, who says that the Hindu deity Hanuman is her god.
Shaheen Parvez said, “I have been singing Hanuman songs since my college days. They taught us about all religions in the school I attended. We read about Islam, Sikhism and Hinduism. It made us so happy to sing such songs.
We all living in India should respect all religions. What's wrong with learning about other religions? All religions in this world only teach love. So even though I am a Muslim, I have no fear of worshiping the Hindu deity, ”Shaheen said.
There is a metal statue of Hanuman in the house. Shaheen Parvez is wearing a pearl garland, decorating it with flowers, singing devotional songs about Hanuman and praying daily. In addition, Shaheen wears a headscarf during these prayers.
