The Universe Is Expanding Faster Than Expected But What Is Causing This Phenomenon?
New research suggests that the universe is expanding faster than we expected. This adds a few more theories as to why this is happening.
According to a new study, we now know that the universe is expanding at 74 kilometers (46 miles) per second per megaparsec. The earlier estimated speed of the expansion of the universe was 67 kilometers (41.6 miles) per second per megaparsec. The study also suggests that the universe is expanding at 9% faster rate than expected.
