A woman and her dog got married on live television. Elizabeth Hoad's reasons to marry her own pet?
Elizabeth Hoad, 49, was a swimsuit model in the UK in the eighties. 221 dates, relationships with golfer Seve Ballesteros and Formula One driver James Hunt, and four marriages. Nothing permanent. Deciding that men were not good enough, Elizabeth decided to marry her 6-year-old Golden Retriever, Logan. Did the marriage take place? It did, on live television.
The wedding took place on the British channel ITV show called 'This Morning'.
Hoad rescued Logan about a year ago. “For the first four years, the owners would lock him up and beat him. I saved him, and he saved me. I was devastated when my last dog died. ''
Tinder and other dating apps tripped her up, nothing was going right. Having a 25-year-old son meant she could not date younger men. Older men need younger girls, and vice versa. The last person I met online was married. With this, Elizabeth decided she had had enough.
"After that, my friends would tease me, and I decided that if I could just marry dog Logan, why not?"
Many people have come out against the live broadcast of the wedding. Some commented that this was a joke, though funny. Some have questioned whether people who are suffering from psychological problems are being made fun of. Others are simply bewildered.
