Subramanian Swamy gives chowkidar slogan a casteist turn, Twitter reacts
Swamy is one of the few leaders who has not put the prefix "chowkidar" in his name on Twitter.
BJP MP Subramanian Swamy kicked up a storm on Sunday after his remarks about the Prime Minister's chowkidar (watchman) social media campaign.
Swamy is one of the few leaders who has not put the prefix "chowkidar" to his name on Twitter. In an interview to a Tamil news channel, Swamy said: "I did not change my name to Chowkidar Subramanian Swamy on Twitter because I am a Brahmin and, hence, cannot be a chowkidar".
He further stated that it was a fact that Brahmins cannot be chowkidars. According to Swamy, the job of a Brahmin is to give orders that chowkidars have to execute. This is what is expected out of appointed chowkidars.

In the process of exposing Modi's stupidity, he accidentally exposed his own rotten castiest mindset.
In one line, Subramanian Swamy has summarised the reality of what RSS stands for and what Modi's Chowkidaari is all about.— Srivatsa (@srivatsayb) March 25, 2019
