'Snyder Cut' of Justice League to finally release on HBO max
#ReleaseTheSnyderCut became a massive trend online, with fans demanding the original cut to be released after Joss Whedon's version failed to resonate with fans.
After years of requests from comic book fans, the studio behind the DC Films ensemble Justice League will offer the original director Zach Snyder’s cut of the film, which had Batman, Aquaman, Wonder Woman, The Flash, Cyborg and Superman share the same screen. The unreleased version will debut in 2021.
The filmmaker, who had previously directed Man of Steel and Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, had left Justice League during post-production due to a family tragedy.
The studio had then got Joss Whedon, best known for Marvel's The Avengers and sequel Avengers: Age of Ultron, to complete the film and oversee the reshoots. Many fans believe that Joss Whedon's version watered down the film and hence the film performed moderately at the box office.
In a statement by WarnerMedia, Snyder thanked the studio for deciding to release his version of the movie.
