#SixWordHorror - The hashtag on Twitter that is raising environmental awareness
The Six Word Horror Hashtag has created an avenue for people to raise awareness about issues that matter.
Tuesdays are usually slow days for everyone. I mean, we have Mondays, which are certifiably the worst. We have Wednesdays, which are the middle of the week; you’ve made it half way through. Thursdays are meant for weekend planning, office naps, and congratulating yourself on having made it this far. Fridays are what we live for. But Tuesdays? Who has ever even had a coherent thought on a Tuesday?
That’s where Twitter comes in. Every week, with #TuesdayThoughts, the platform explodes with a display of the strangest musings from netizens. This Tuesday, though, there’s a twist - this time, the Tuesday Thoughts Tweets have a theme - #SixWordHorror. It’s led to a movement of sometimes funny, sometimes truly terrifying micro-stories. But here’s the best part - this Tuesday, #SixWordHorror has people woke.
People are using the hashtag to write pithy, witty, short comments on politics and current events - resulting in goosebumps all around. Apart from just focussing on the horror of Trump/Boris Johnson/Modi/Rahul Gandhi being elected to office, people have also been using this hashtag to bring particular attention to environmental and human rights issues.
Here’s our selection of the most woke #SixWordHorror stories:
