Youth for Social Media Democracy also protested in front of the micro-blogging website’s India office.
Right wing users of Twitter have taken to the micro-blogging website to protest against Twitter. On February 3, #ProtestAgainstTwitter was one of the top trending trends on Twitter. Wait. What? Sounds confusing right? Let me simplify, Youth for Social Media Democracy (YSMD), an organisation of people with right wing views, led the protest against Twitter for its alleged anti-right wing policy. They alleged that Twitter is against Hindus and Hindutva. They even gathered outside the Twitter India office to protest against the site for blocking handles of right wing sympathisers. And then the outrage on social media began.
