March 10, 2020, marked the festival of Holi. But, three days before the actual festival, billionaire heiress and entrepreneur, Isha Ambani, kickstarted the celebrations by opening the doors of her Mumbai home to friends and family for a special party to mark the holiday. At the Ambani pre-Holi bash, the guest list included everyone from sister-in-law Shloka Ambani to actress Katrina Kaif and actor Vicky Kaushal. But the surprise appearance that stole the show was that of Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Nick Jonas, who arrived in coordinated outfits. The actress-producer opted for a cream kurta showcasing colourful detailing by designer label, Gulabo by Abu Sandeep; while her singer-actor husband accompanied her in a matching kurta that came with a colourful border by Mard by Abu Sandeep. Scroll down to check out how Priyanka Chopra Jonas styled her Holi look.
Priyanka Chopra Jonas’ festive ensemble consisted of a cream kurta worn with palazzo pants, and a matching dupatta. The top featured geometric patterns, in vibrant shades of yellow, pink, blue, and orange on the yoke, and sleeves that instantly lent a fun appeal to her Holi look. Keeping in tandem with her ethnic Indian outfit, The Sky is Pink star accessorised her ensemble with a pair of statement earrings by Tyaani by Karan Johar and a cocktail ring by Anmol. Priyanka Chopra Jonas injected more colour to her outfit with a pair of yellow heels that came with a clear strap. Her beauty picks for the outing? Dewy makeup, kohled eyes, red lipstick, a pop of highlighter, and loosely curled hair.
At her Holi bash, Isha Ambani went with a super comfortable look. She picked a colourful, loose-fitting outfit: a baby pink maxi dress that featured cotton candy and mango-hued tie-dye patterns. Before she began playing, Ambani was seen welcoming guests in her tie-dye maxi dress, which she paired with comfortable flats. Keeping the occasion in mind, she allowed her skin to breathe by going easy on the makeup and pulled her locks back into a high half-bun. Over the festive weekend, Isha Ambani also slipped into a lightweight anarkali set by Picchika. The Jaipur-based designer label has been topping the charts with Bollywood celebrities — including the likes of Sonam Kapoor Ahuja, Kareena Kapoor Khan, and Alia Bhatt — lately. Ambani picked a sleeveless silk anarkali and chiffon dupatta enhanced with multi-coloured hand-painted bougainvillaeas all over the set.
While Isha Ambani picked a tie-dyed dress for her Holi party, sister-in-law Shloka Ambani opted for a crop top with a halter neck worn with matching palazzo pants. What made her look stand out? The white crop top and pants set came embroidered with designs in a spectrum of colours, making it ideal for Holi 2020. The young businesswoman wore her hair open given the casual nature of the Holi get-together. Shloka Ambani also happened to play things up in the accessory department. Keeping in tune with the vibrant palette of her crop top and trousers, she opted for open-toe sandals covered in rhinestones that perfectly complemented the embroidery on her clothing. Ambani went makeup-free for the at-home celebration.
Meanwhile, other celebrities chose to bring in the festival with quiet family get-togethers at their own homes. Kareena Kapoor Khan, who officially joined Instagram only last week, took to her official account to give fans a peek into her Holi 2020 celebrations: In case you missed it, Kapoor Khan shared a sun-kissed selfie, captioned, "I think pink is my colour. Agree?". The actress picked a casual cotton kurta set for her Holi get-together, while most other celebrities dressed in designer outfits for the occasion. She stepped out in a Holi staple — minimal white traditional wear. The Good Newwz star paired her cotton chikankari kurta with matching flared palazzos and a chiffon dupatta. She styled the set with black kohlapuris that featured gold threadwork. Keeping up with her fuss-free ensemble, the star relied on a sans-makeup look for Holi 2020, with only a dash of hot pink lipstick to brighten up her OOTD.
