'Main nahi bachega idhar': Meme fest on Twitter after Gujarat, Assam earthquakes
There were no immediate reports of any loss of life or damage to property.
The year 2020 is proving to be a lethal combination of COVID-19 and earthquakes. We would be lucky if we manage to survive this harsh year as it is in no mood to spare us. On Thursday morning, fresh earthquakes rocked Gujarat and Assam of magnitude 4.5 and 4.1 respectively and netizens were quick to react to the news.
So amid the chaos that 2020 has unleashed upon us, nothing seems surprising anymore. The epicentre of the quake in Gujarat was Rajkot, and it occurred at a depth of 10 kilometres at 7.40 am. The epicentre of the Assam quake was Karimganj district. It occurred at 7.57 am at a depth of 18 kilometres.
Tremors are making our situation worse -- we cannot run outside to protect ourselves as we are advised to stay "safe" at home amid the deadly pandemic and maintain social distancing. So what exactly are we supposed to do?
