Kia has unveiled its new car, an SUV, the Seltos. It joins a fairly crowded automobile segment.
Kia Motor Company has unveiled a new car in India, three years after entering the market. South Korean car giant Kia Motors is launching new car models worldwide across a range of categories.
It has introduced a model for the first time in the Indian market, a compact SUV. Kia's Seltos is similar to the fellow South Korean company, Hyundai's Creta.
With a 1.5 liter petrol/ diesel turbo engine, the Kia has a direct fuel injection junction. The engine can reportedly reach a speed of 100 km / h in 10 seconds.
Dual Clutch Transmission(DCT) is thelatest technology in the powerful engine. Accordingly, there is one clutch for odd-digit gears (1,3,5) and another clutch for even-number gears (2,4) so that engine function is not interrupted when changing gears.
There are plenty of driving modes for the driver; you can adjust the response and steering functions as needed.
There are also three different traction modes suitable for Indian roads. Kia is the latest entrant into the SUV segment, which already has Hyundai's Creta, Renault Captur, Nissan Kicks, Tata Harrier and the MG Hector.
The compact SUV comes with a 10.25-inch HD display. The car is available in 16 variants and will be priced from Rs 9.67 lakh to Rs 11.02 lakh.
