Jawa pays tribute to its 1929 model OHV 500 by launching a new 90th-anniversary limited edition model.
Jawa motorcycles, which is on the verge of completing 1 year since its revival, has launched its 90th-anniversary limited edition bike that will be available soon. The new model is similar to that of the 1929 model OHV 500.
The 90th edition variant is painted with vintage colours, which makes it look like a 1929 bike. The new machine comes with a 293 CC single cylinder engine that can deliver a power of 26 bhp and has a 6-speed gearbox. The braking system has got disc brakes on both the ends. The suspension system has dual shocks at the rear end and telescopic forks at the front.
The brand will manufacture only 90 units as this is a limited edition series (the number 90, could be because of the 90th anniversary). Customers need to book the bike before October 22nd; the new variant is expected to be launched in October, and all the bikes will be available for immediate delivery once they are launched.
The current Jawa models Jawa and Jawa forty two are priced at 1.64 lakhs and 1.55 lakhs respectively. The new model is expected to be priced around the same range (1.6 lakh-1.8lakh).
