Isha Ambani, Shloka Mehta, Radhika Merchant dazzle at star-studded Ambani party. See pics
Isha Ambani, Shloka Mehta, Radhika Merchant were the best-dressed celebs at Arjun Kothari’s pre-wedding celebration at the Ambani house in Mumbai. Scroll to take a closer look at their stunning wedding-worthy looks.
Isha Ambani was spotted earlier this week in a romantic lilac and gold lace saree by the designer duo Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla for the pre-wedding celebrations of her cousin, Arjun Kothari. Held at Mukesh and Nita Ambani's lavish Mumbai residence Antilia, the party was attended by many Bollywood celebrities, including Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Mira Rajput Kapoor and Shahid Kapoor. During the celebrations, Isha Ambani was also spotted greeting guests in a beautifully embroidered Anamika Khanna sharara-saree. If you're looking to experiment with silhouettes, this Isha Ambani look that combined the elements of a saree with sharara pants is just what your wardrobe needs.
Combining the elegance of a saree with the comfort of a sharara, Isha Ambani’s outfit featured the Kolkata-based couturier’s signature floral threadwork, as well as metallic work on the pants. A broad belt added form to the Ambani heiress’ festive ensemble, which was completed with a matching cropped jacket with scalloped sleeves. Isha Ambani opted for striking emerald jewellery to pair with the soothing palette of her ensemble. Her choice: a three-layered necklace with matching earrings and a ring. Ambani left her long mane loose, and rounded off her outfit with subtle makeup — soft smokey eye, mascara and nude lips. Want to put a fresh spin on traditional outfits? However, if you prefer timeless silhouettes, Isha Ambani's Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla number from the pre-wedding party is the one you need to add to your own closet this wedding season. In the designers’ Instagram post, they wrote, “Isha Ambani wears a powder lilac and gold, French Chantilly lace saree. The creation was lavishly embroidered in gold and silver zardozi, crystals, sequins and bugle beads to exceptional effect. She wore it with a tulle strappy, cold-shoulder blouse, encrusted with beads and crystals. The ensemble combines both exceptional craftsmanship and modern draping to create an impossibly romantic and elegant silhouette.”
With her pastel drape, Isha Ambani went with eye-catching diamond jewellery. The entrepreneur topped off her floral lace saree with a diamond string necklace, matching earrings and diamond bangles. The highlight of her look, however, was her diamond belt, which immediately cinched the saree in and highlighted her waist, while also adding an extra touch of sparkle to the festive ensemble. Isha Ambani completed the dreamy look with brown smoky eyes and soft pink lips. Her hair was left lightly tousled. Take a closer look at Isha Ambani's look below:
For the star-studded family function hosted by the Ambani family at their home, their unofficial to-be daughter-in-law, Radhika Merchant, decided to wear a red pre-stitched saree with sharara pants and a long jacket, also by designer Anamika Khanna. Also favoured by actress Sonam Kapoor Ahuja recently, the attached saree and pants style is perfect for women who love traditional Indian wear and want to be comfortable at wedding functions.
Radhika Merchant's head-to-toe red ensemble was embellished with intricate embroidery in the same ruby shade. Meanwhile, the matching jacket and belt came with metallic thread work in muted gold. Radhika Merchant kept her hair tied up in a neat ponytail, paired with dewy skin and a bold red lip. As for jewellery, Merchant picked on-trend layered necklaces and statement chandelier earrings. Following the family dress code, Shloka Mehta too wore a similar monotone ethnic ensemble by the same designer. For Arjun Kothari’s pre-wedding bash at Antilia, the Ambani daughter-in-law wore a pastel ensemble by Anamika Khanna. She picked an outfit that comprised of a crop top, lehenga skirt and a long jacket, all in the same hue. While the skirt came sans embellishment, the crop top and the long jacket featured Anamika Khanna’s signature delicate floral embroidery.
For the Ambani bash, Shloka Mehta completed her head-to-toe lilac outfit with jewellery in the most unpredictable hue. Instead of playing it safe with pearls or diamonds, she added a pop of colour to her pretty pastel ensemble by picking a statement-making emerald and diamond necklace, which she paired with diamond earrings, a pair of bangles and a ring. Keeping her beauty look understated, she completed her ensemble with soft waves, glossy pink lips and perfectly painted winged liner. This wedding season, skip on predictable reds, pinks and oranges and show some love to elegant pastels. Not sure how to begin? Take style inspiration from Shloka Mehta’s latest outfit and invest in a pastel lehenga and jacket set.
