Lok Sabha Elections 2019 will be held in seven phases beginning April 11 and continue till May 19.
The Election Commission on March 10 announced that the elections will be held in seven phases beginning April 11 and continue till May 19. The counting will be held on May 23. Nearly 90 crore voters will be eligible to vote for 543 Lok Sabha constituencies across the country.
Elections will be held in single phase in 22 States and UTs; two phases in Karnataka, Manipur, Tripura and Rajasthan; while Assam and Chhattisgarh will have three phase polling.
Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra and Odisha will have four phase polling.
Jammu & Kashmir will have five phase polling. Elections to the sensitive Anantnag constituency which includes Pulwama will be held in three phases.
