When users order a product on Instagram, they will be able to track it from a new “Orders” section in their profile. This section will show the status of an order, options to cancel, or contact the merchant.
Merchants will only get the details necessary to fulfill an order. This new feature may leave merchants with less information when compared to transactions that take place on their website. But Instagram says it will provide information on the sales it generates for a given merchant.
