Ind v WI, 3rd ODI: West Indies register their fastest team 100
Congratulations from all the Indian players as Gayle departs—possibly for the final time. He acknowledges the crowd in his signature style—lifts the helmet high atop the handle of the bat—as he walks back.
West Indies bludgeoned their way to their fastest team hundred in the one-day Internationals credit the carnage by Chris Gayle, who smashed a 30-ball half-century in the third One Day internationals against India on Wednesday, 14 August.
West Indies reached 100 in just 9.1 overs. This is also the fastest hundred by any other team against India!
Strange as it may seem, West Indies had scored just 13 runs from the first four overs. In the next 5.3 overs, they scored 100 runs.

It was Chahal with the first breakthrough in the 11th over when he dismissed Lewis with a fuller delivery. Khalil Ahmed got the big man, ‘The Universe Boss’ in the next over to bring India back into the game. It was fitting that the catch went up to captain Virat Kohli.
