Five new major football rules announced

The International Football Association Board (IFAB) at its 133rd Annual General Meeting (AGM) this month announced a host of major changes to the law of football in a bid to eradicate cheating and time-wasting. Starting from June 1, when a substitution is made in a football match, the player will leave the field from his nearest touch line instead of touching the centre circle.
