I am Indira Gandhi's granddaughter: Priyanka dares Yogi govt to take action against her
“Take whatever action you want to. I stand with the truth. I am Indira Gandhi's granddaughter, not an undeclared BJP spokesperson like some of the opposition leaders," the Congress general secretary UP East said on Friday. Her attack on the Yogi administration comes a day after the UP government's departments sent her notices for comments made earlier this week.
Congress general secretary, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra lambasted the Uttar Pradesh government and dared them to take against her. She alleged that the Yogi Adityanath administration, through its different various departments, is threatening her for speaking truth.
Her comments come a day after the Agra administration asked Priyanka Gandhi to withdraw the claim of high coronavirus deaths in the district within 24 hours. On Thursday, the UP State Commission for Protection of Child Rights (UPSCPCR) had also sent a notice to the Congress leader.
Responding to the developments, on Friday morning, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra said, "As a public servant, my duty is towards the people of Uttar Pradesh. And this duty is to put out the truth before them and not to put forth the government’s propaganda. The UP government is wasting its time by threatening me through its various departments."
The Congress general secretary in-charge for UP East has dared the Yogi Adityanath government to take action against her.

“Take whatever action you want to. I stand with the truth,” she said in a tweet, further adding, "I am Indira Gandhi's granddaughter, not an undeclared BJP spokesperson like some of the opposition leaders."
She has been taking the Yogi Adityanath government head-on ever since the COVID-19 triggered lockdown was imposed. Earlier this week, she repeatedly attacked the UP government over the "high" COVID-19 mortality rate in Agra and issues related to the government's handling of the pandemic.
