Modi advised them to always keep in touch with those who worked for their success in the constituency.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has laid out how to be a good people's representative for the newly elected BJP MPs. Modi, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Home Minister Amit Shah, and party leader JP Singh have just conducted a workshop for BJP MPs from both Houses.
Participants of the training workshop said that Modi advised them to always keep in touch with those who worked for their success in the constituency.
A senior leader of the BJP, who attended the workshop, said in the speech delivered by the Prime Minister, “Just as a mother feels insecure when her son is married, so do your constituents. People in your constituency will pick you up and send you to parliament, but will be left with an insecure feeling that you will no longer accept their telephone calls and will not meet them often. Therefore, a good MP should know his business and his people equally,” the Prime Minister advised.
The Prime Minister's speech lasted 10 to 15 minutes.
BJP leader JP Nadda spoke about nationalism, democracy, Gandhian socialism, religious virtues and charitable politics. The MPs who participated in these workshops said the classes helped them learn about the party's activities and policies.
