The Honda Activa 6G is expected to be costlier than the previous version.
Honda's best selling scooter, the Activa is getting an update and is expected to be launched on January 15. The 2020 Acitva 6G will come updated with new BSVI norms to be effective from April 2020.
The new features that we can expect on the upcoming Activa 6G:
Engine: Expect the same 109.19cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder engine
Power: The 110cc engine provides around 8 BHP power and 9 Nm torque
Price: Expected to be around Rs 60,000 (Ex-showroom, pricier than the previous version).
Other features: LED headlamp, tubeless tyres, digital Analog meter, 4-in-1 lock with seat opening switch, service due indicator are a few of the features expected to be carried on to the next generation of Activa.
Activa also comes with 18L under-seat storage with a mobile charging port.
Reports suggest that the scooter might produce slightly less power as it will be upgraded to the new BSVI standards. The upgrade to BSVI standards might also decrease the fuel economy as the scooter will have to put more energy in the combustion of cleaner fuel.
Activa lacks in terms of modern features in many of its competitors. Scooters like TVS NTorque comes with various new tech features like Bluetooth connectivity for smartphones, Lap time recorder, last parking tracker, navigation and more.
Other scooters that can be considered in the range are TVS Jupiter and Suzuki Access.
