Did you know that the Earth's atmosphere extends beyond the Moon?
Scientists say that there is a cloud of hydrogen atoms, near the outer part of our atmosphere. The cloud of these hydrogen atoms is called Geocorona.
New research suggests that the earth’s atmosphere extends beyond the moon. Scientists observed a gaseous layer that wraps around the Earth using a Heliospheric Observatory called SOHO. They found that the gaseous layer around the Earth extends to more than 6 lakh kilometers.
