Remember Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh's wedding extravaganza? This time last year, Bollywood's golden couple got married in one of the most elaborate celebrity weddings we've ever seen. After six years of dating and working together in films like Padmaavat, Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela and Bajirao Mastani, Padukone and Singh sealed the deal with a destination wedding that became a topic of fascination: when two of the country's most-loved Bollywood stars come together, you can expect their wedding to take over the internet like wildfire. The secrecy behind the events had people even more eager for details. After keeping everyone at the edge of their seats for the first look of their wedding pictures, Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh released photographs from their mehendi celebrations and Konkani and Sindhi-style wedding ceremonies on social media. But that's not where Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh's wedding celebrations ended. Since only a handful of chosen guests made it to their wedding in Italy, Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh hosted a series of events to share the momentous occasion with their friends and family. They hosted three separate receptions: one in Bengaluru, where Deepika Padukone is from, and two more in Mumbai. As expected, Padukone and Singh were the picture of elegance in every photo to come out of their wedding celebrations. To mark Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone's first wedding anniversary, we take a look back at the stunning couple's spectacular wedding celebrations.
Inside Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh's mehendi ceremony
The couple's wedding festivities comprised a mehendi ceremony – a pre-wedding function, where the bride's hands and feet are decorated with henna. For the mehendi, both Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh wore red and blush pink outfits by designer Sabyasachi Mukerjee. While Singh, whose sartorial choices make for excellent talking points, picked a printed angarkha topped off with a maroon jacket, Padukone went with an embellished kurta set, which she wore with a matching net dupatta and a red shawl. Both stars' Instagram posts shared a peek inside their lakeside mehendi ceremony. Ranveer Singh's Insta album showed a glowing Deepika Padukone getting her hands and arms painted surrounded by cosy cushions, flowers in full bloom and of course, her closest family members. While one candid picture showed the couple laughing with their mothers and sisters, another shows Padukone dancing with her hands up in the air.
Inside Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh's Konkani wedding
With Ranveer Singh, a dapper groom in a white and gold kurta dhoti set accessorised with a varmala, and Deepika Padukone, the beaming bride in a red and gold silk saree from The House of Angadi, the couple looked straight out of the set of a movie during their Konkani wedding ceremony. In traditional Konkani weddings, the couple engages in a few light-hearted games where the winner is deemed to be the person who will have the upper hand in the marriage. Grinning ear-to-ear with every intention of winning, both Padukone and Singh seemed excited for the next phase of their life. You can't miss the image of Deepika Padukone feeding her groom, who looks equal parts coy and in love.

The newly-weds offered a look inside their Anand Karaj wedding ceremony by posting a series of images which were a beautiful mix of colours. Deepika Padukone opted for a decadent red Sabyasachi lehenga, complete with an embroidered veil that bore an incantation, ‘Sada Saubhagyavati Bhava', on the border in Devnagri (which roughly translates to ‘may you always stay married'); while Ranveer Singh complemented her in a vermillion Kanjeevaram sherwani, also by designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee. One wedding picture showed the couple gazing at the sky in happiness, while a second featured the bride's phoolon ki chaadar, held by her brothers and girlfriends. The third one had Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh in prayer. In the fourth, they're both holding the knot that ties them together for the pheras. The couple also shared a picture of them during the ardaas (the final prayer of the ceremony) looking ecstatic to be man and wife.

After being seen in a handful of beautiful Sabyasachi ensembles at her wedding, Deepika Padukone continued to favour a traditional Indian look at her Bengaluru wedding reception. While she opted for a gold brocade saree in a look styled by Sabyasachi Mukherjee, Ranveer Singh complemented her in an embroidered black and gold Rohit Bal sherwani. The couple shared a regal image of them in their wedding finery just before the reception kicked off.

Newly-weds Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh made quite the entrance at their first Mumbai reception in white and gold ensembles. Padukone chose an ivory saree with gold embroidery by designer label Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla for the occasion. The Padmaavat star added drama to the drape by opting for an equally detailed veil over it, and chose pearl chaandbalis and a statement necklace to accentuate the look. Equally enthusiastic as his bride when it comes to dressing, Ranveer Singh picked a sherwani by designer Rohit Bal that was intricately embroidered in gold threadwork, and carried a matching dupatta that added a regal touch to his outfit.
