Coup within NCP? Sharad Pawar says party does not endorse decision to support BJP
As BJP is back to forming government in Maharashtra with Ajith Pawar as Dy CM, NCP leader Sharad Pawar says he is not aware of the move and party does not endorse the decision
While Devendra Fadnavis took oath as the chief minister of Maharashtra, with NCP's Ajith Pawar as his Deputy, NCP chief Sharad Pawar said the party does not endorse the move, giving another twist to the political drama.
"Ajit Pawar's decision to support the BJP to form the Maharashtra Government is his personal decision and not that of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP). We place on record that we do not support or endorse this decision of his," Sharad Pawar tweeted.

We place on record that we do not support or endorse this decision of his.
On Thursday night, Sharad Pawar had said that there was a consensus among the NCP, Congress and Shiv Sena that Uddhav Thackeray should lead the new government.
It seems his nephew Ajit's decision to join hands with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has equally muffled Sharad Pawar as it has others.
Fadnavis and Ajit Pawar were sworn-in by Maharashtra Governor BS Koshyari at a function in the Raj Bhavan at around 8 am. Only a a few BJP and NCP leaders, and other government officials were present in the ceremony.
"Honourable Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari administered the oath of Chief Minister of Maharashtra to Shri Devendra Fadnavis and Deputy CM to Shri Ajit Pawar." official Twitter account of Fadnavis tweeted.
