The Apple iPhone SE which is expected to be launched in 2020 is said to be equipped with an improved antenna design. The new antenna technology is called LCP aka liquid crystal polymer antenna. The new antenna design is expected to improve wireless transmission on the device.
The information shared by Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo also notes that the iPhone will be launched by the end of the first quarter. A note given to TF International Securities, accessed by Macrumors, suggests that Career Technologies and Murata Manufacturing will supply the antenna component.
A previous report also mentioned that the mini iPhone will come with the latest A13 chip, 3 GB RAM and 64/128 GB of internal storage options. Apple will launch the devices in three colour variants of Space Gray, Silver, and Red.
The previous version of the device was launched in 2016 and the company has not updated it since. It will not come with 3D though. The Apple iPhone SE2 is expected to be priced at around $399.
